The iPad Mini 4 is the 4th generation of Apple's mini tablet lineup. It came in 3 different color variations: silver, gold, and space gray. The iPad Mini 4 had 4 storage options to choose from, starting at 16 GB, then 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB being the max. All variants of the iPad Mini 4 have a {{convert|7.9|in|cm|abbr=on}} with a 2048 by 1536 resolution and an Apple A8 chip.

== Collection Specifics ==
My specific iPad Mini 4 is the gold-colored one with the maximum 128 GB of storage. I received it as a birthday gift on December 6, 2017. This is the first iPad I've ever had and it lasted a good 5 years before I upgraded to a [[IPad Air (5th Generation)|5th generation iPad Air]] in January 2023.

This iPad originally shipped with iOS 9 and it was the first device to do so. Since I got mine in December 2017, it had iOS 11 on it at the time. Since then, it's been upgraded to iPadOS 15.7.2, which is the latest version of iPadOS 15 as of January 12, 2023. iPadOS 15 is the last version of iPadOS to support the iPad Mini 4.
