The iPad Air is Apple's kind of mid-range iPad, compared to the higher-end iPad Pro and the lower-end iPad and iPad Mini. The 5th generation iPad Air is the first iPad Air to include Apple's new M1 chip. It comes in 5 different color variations: Space Gray, Starlight, Pink, Purple, and Blue. Either 64 GB or 256 GB of storage can be chosen. The iPad Air also has a 10.9 in (28 cm) Liquid Retina display with a 2360 by 1640 resolution. The new M1 chip included with this iPad Air has an 8-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, an 8-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and 8 GB of RAM.

Collection Specifics
My specific iPad Air is the Blue, 64 GB model. It was bought from Costco for $499, thanks to a sale, on January 11, 2023. This iPad Air is an upgrade from my old iPad Mini 4, which has become quite slow over the years and Apple has dropped support for it after iPadOS 15.
Operating System
The operating system that would've originally shipped with this device is iPadOS 15.4, though since I bought it in January 2023, iPadOS 16.2 was installed, and currently it's running the iOS 17 Developer Preview, announced on June 5, 2023.
