The Late 2007 MacBook is the successor to the Mid 2007 MacBook from May 2007. There appear to have been 3 configurations of this MacBook originally. The cheapest $1099 configuration came with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB of RAM, an 80 GB hard drive, and a ComboDrive CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. For $1299 you could get a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB of RAM, a 120 GB hard drive, and a SuperDrive with DVD burning capabilities. Lastly, the $1499 configuration was the same as the $1299 one, except for the 160 GB hard drive, and the now rare black-colored body.

My specific MacBook is the $1099 configuration. The only difference from its original spec is that sometime throughout its life, the 1 GB of RAM has been upgraded to 2 GB. I got this laptop used on eBay in July 2022 for just $30 along with the original recovery media for OS X 10.4.9, a copy of .mac, and a copy of iWork '06.

I have not done any hardware upgrades to this machine, nor do I currently have any plans to do so. As previously mentioned, someone appears to have upgraded the original 1 GB of RAM to 2 GB at some point, but everything else is stock.
