Originally, this laptop would've shipped with Windows XP based on the sticker on it. I could've installed XP again, but I wanted a Vista laptop and this hardware is good for Vista anyways, along with the fact that this laptop has a SATA storage connector instead of IDE, meaning Windows XP requires a special driver for it to even get past the first setup screen without a Blue Screen of Death. Since I installed Windows Vista, I use this laptop to experiment with the [https://ximonite.com/win32/ Windows Vista Extended Kernel]. | |||
