The Lenovo ThinkPad R series of this time is a business-oriented lineup of devices. The R61 featured Intel's, at the time, new Centrino Duo processors.

Collection Specifics

I bought this laptop for $34 from Mercari on February 22, 2021.

Operating System

This specific ThinkPad R61 likely shipped with Windows XP when it was purchased. Originally, I decided to install Windows 7 on this laptop to give it a bit more usability. Though, eventually I decided to go back to Windows XP to have a good XP laptop to play around with XP-related things.

Hardware

The only hardware upgrade I've done to this machine is replace the internal hard drive with a solid-state drive.
