The Dell Latitude E6420 is a business-oriented laptop released in August 2011. It came with 2nd generation Intel Core processors, DDR3 memory, and Intel or NVIDIA graphics options. Up to 3 batteries can be attached to this machine too.
Collection Specifics
I bought this laptop for $10 from a teacher at my tech school on November 1, 2023. This specific model has an Intel Core i5-2540M vPro, 4 GB of DDR3 memory, and Intel HD Graphics.
Operating System
This laptop originally shipped with Windows 7 Professional. When I bought it, Windows 10 Pro was installed, but I reinstalled Windows 7 with the Dell Recovery Media.
Hardware
The only hardware upgrade I've done to this machine is upgrading the old 160 GB hard drive with a new 256 GB SSD. Other than that, I might upgrade the RAM at some point, but the battery and everything else still works fine.
