The Nintendo DSi is part of the Nintendo DS family of consoles, released on November 1, 2008 in Japan and in April 2009 for Australia, Europe, and North America. The DSi is very similar to the DS Lite, though with bigger screens and a lack of a Game Boy Advance cartridge slot. In North America, the DSi came in blue, black, pink, matte red, and matte blue colors.
