The Dell Inspiron 5575 is a mid-range, 15-inch laptop from 2018 that came with AMD CPU options of a Ryzen 3 2200U or a Ryzen 5 2500U. Other 5000 series models came with 7th and 8th generation Intel CPUs. This laptop also came with RAM configurations from 4 GB up to 32 GB. It has a 15.6 in (40 cm), full HD 1920 x 1080 display and comes with AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics with the AMD Ryzen CPUs.

Collection Specifics

My specific model is the Ryzen 5 2500U model and I originally got it with 4 GB of memory. I got it for $350 from Walmart in December 2019. This laptop has pretty decent specs, after upgrading some of the original components.

Operating System

Originally, this laptop came with Windows 10 Home. I have since upgraded it to Windows 11 Dev Insider Preview, which works officially without any extra hackery, despite the Ryzen 5 2500U not being officially supported on Windows 11.

Hardware

This laptop originally came with a 1 TB hard disk drive, which I upgraded quickly to a 256 GB ADATA SSD because Windows 10 is a terrible experience on a spinning disk.

This laptop also originally came with only 4 GB of memory, which I finally upgraded to 16 GB of G-Skill memory on February 16, 2023.
