This is a high-end business desktop computer from HP from 2015. This computer came in a mini, small form factor, tower, and all-in-one configuration and had options ranging from 4th generation Intel Core i3 to Core i7 processors.

Collection Specifics

I got this EliteDesk PC for free from my dad's company when they upgraded his work PC in May 2023. Due to its high specs, I've decided to use it as a server computer.

Operating System

This computer had the option to be shipped with either Windows 7 or 8.1 when it was released. When I got it, it was running Windows 10, but I decided to install Proxmox on it to use this computer as a Linux server and occasionally set up some virtual machines on it.

Hardware

I don't think 16 GB of RAM was a stock configuration option, so most likely the company upgraded the RAM at some point. The only thing I've done after obtaining the machine is replacing the old mechanical hard drive with a solid-state drive and adding in a separate hard drive for storage.
