The HP Stream is a very budget-oriented laptop offering from HP. This specific model is an 11-inch model from 2016. Inside, it has an Intel Celeron, 4 GB of RAM, and a measly 32 GB of non-upgradable eMMC storage. This, unfortunately, means most of its storage capacity is taken up by Windows and the pre-installed programs and it struggles to install any major Windows updates.

Collection Specifics

I bought this HP Stream for $60 from a friend sometime in 2022. It's definitely not a $60 well spent considering the Stream's terrible functionality, but I really wanted to see what this computer was like and to have it in my collection.

Operating System

This laptop originally shipped with Windows 10, version 1607 I believe, and it officially supports up to Windows 10, version 22H2. Yes, this laptop officially supports only one version of Windows. Windows 11 does not support this laptop's CPU and even then, it would struggle anyways with the insanely low amount of storage space.

Hardware

I have not done any hardware upgrades to this machine because it doesn't feel worth it currently. However, it seems the CMOS battery is dead, so that may be worth looking into at some point.
