Originally, this MacBook Air would've shipped with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, from 2014. OS X El Capitan wasn't released until September 2015. When I got this MacBook, I installed macOS Catalina installed since it was the most recent at the time. Eventually, with macOS 13 Ventura in 2022, Apple dropped support for most Mac devices older than 2017, which includes this MacBook, leaving it stuck with macOS Monterey. However, thanks to the [https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ OpenCore Legacy Patcher], I have macOS Ventura running on this MacBook now.

I haven't done any hardware upgrades to this machine yet, but I do hope to eventually upgrade the internal SSD since 128 GB is a bit small.
