The 11-inch 2011 MacBook Air is Apple's smallest laptop. This MacBook Air model also had a 13-inch variant. Both variants had the option for 64 GB, 128 GB, or 256 GB of internal storage, a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, and 2 or 4 GB of DDR3 RAM.
Collection Specifics
My specific model is the 11-inch model with a Core i5-2467M, 4 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 memory, and 64 GB of storage. I got this laptop for $40 on eBay on November 9, 2023.
Operating System
This MacBook Air would've originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and supports up to macOS 10.13 High Sierra. I bought this laptop specifically to run OS X 10.9 Mavericks on it, though, so it's currently running OS X 10.9.5.
Hardware
The eBay listing for this machine claimed the device was broken because they could not install macOS on it. I'm guessing this is because of old installer certificates being expired and not allowing the installer to proceed unless the machine's date is set back far enough. Of course, this means there's actually nothing wrong with this MacBook and I installed OS X Mavericks perfectly fine, so I haven't had to do any hardware maintenance or upgrades yet.
