Lenovo's ThinkPad 11e series is an education-oriented lineup of laptops. These e-suffixed Lenovo devices (like my ThinkPad Yoga 11e Chromebook) are cheap laptops that are typically sold to schools for students to use. This laptop model was sold in various configurations around the world, but the base US model has an Intel Celeron N4120, 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics, and a 128 GB NVMe SSD.

Collection Specifics

I got my 5th gen ThinkPad 11e from my high school on May 16, 2024 for $40. I had been using this laptop for the past 4 years since I started high school in August 2020. This specific model has the Celeron N4120, 8 GB of RAM, and the 128 GB NVMe SSD.

Operating System

Originally, this laptop came with Windows 10 Education. When I bought the laptop from my school, they didn't do anything to its Windows install or any of its management in the school network, so when I tried to reset Windows, it would just re-enroll into the school's Azure Active Directory. Of course, I didn't want to deal with this and I didn't feel like making a new Windows installer, so I just decided to install Manjaro on it instead.

Despite this laptop's lowly Celeron CPU, it's not a terrible computer and is still very usable for productivity tasks, especially with its upgraded 8 GB of RAM. The storage could maybe be upgraded in the future with more capacity, but for the time being, everything is sufficient and does not need any replacements or upgrades.
