The Wii is a video game console from Nintendo, released on November 19, 2006 in North America and in December 2006 for Japan, Australia, and Europe. The Wii was Nintendo's first console to directly support internet connectivity. The Wii was extremely popular and was Nintendo's best-selling home console until it was surpassed by the Nintendo Switch in 2021. The Wii was originally released in just white, though was eventually released in black and red too, later in its lifetime.
