The Xbox One S is the first hardware revision of the Xbox One, first released on August 2, 2016 with 2 TB of storage. The 1 TB and 500 GB models were released on August 23, 2016. The Xbox One S has a smaller form factor compared to the original Xbox One and supports HDR10 video, 4K video playback, and up-scaling of games from 1080p to 4K.
Collection Specifics
My Xbox One S is the 500 GB model, which I received for my birthday in 2017.
Hardware
Due to increased game sizes and lack of storage space, I purchased a 2 TB external Seagate hard drive in December 2021 to increase storage space.
