The iPod Nano was introduced on September 7, 2005 as a replacement for the iPod Mini. It was released with two color variants of black or white and, originally, only 2 storage options of 2 and 4 GB, able to hold around 500 and 1,000 songs, respectively. On February 7, 2006, Apple started selling a 1 GB model, which is able to hold around 240 songs.
Collection Specifics
My iPod Nano is the white, 1 GB model from 2006. I got it for just $6 on January 21, 2023 from a White Dove Thrift Shoppe, a Phoenix-area thrift store chain. This is also where I got my 3rd gen iPod Touch for the same price.
As of January 23, 2023, I have 47 songs loaded on this iPod.
